I overclocked the hell out of mine. Battery lasted maybe an hour. Totally worth it.

Same! I eventually overheated mine and it caused the digitizer to stop working in the middle third of the screen. So disappointing. I traded up to the droid RAZR and many phones since, but I STILL miss the slide out keyboard.

I still have mine, and amazingly it still boots up! I loved it so much!

That stand was awesome and I used the OG Droid as an alarm clock for years after I stopped using it as a phone. I wish they still made horizontal docks for phones like that. It’s such a nice way to get some extra use out of the phone.

You can with iphone 12 and up, using a magsafe charging dock, Or just get a stand and put the phone in horizontal while charging.

My first smartphone, the first phone I bought with my own money out of high school. Bought it on 12th September 2010 at 6pm, secondhand. Used it for 3 years 🥲 At the time I was using a Nokia 6680.

Funny story, the guy who sold me the Motorola Droid ended up buying my Nokia 6680 (right then and there) because he needed something 3G capable to tethering to his laptop for internet access.

The Motorola was $250, my 6680 was $50, so I only have to pay him $200 😂
