I learned about these neat USB boards. I think I will use one in 9V mode for the Atari 7800 as an alternative means of powering it. It might fit in one of the existing cutouts.

I don’t understand the reference between VBUS and VDD. Is anyone willing to explain how the risk of putting direct PSU voltage into the output device is avoided?
