        Well yeah, and back in the day that meant quality because it took a big budget to even get games to work well. Nowadays it can be relatively cheap to make good games so that big budget gets put into graphics or embezzled away.

          Yeah but even then there were plenty of shitty AAA games, you just don’t remember them because they were so shitty lol

      AAA means it’ll have an actual budget. Unfortunately that also means it’ll expect arbitrarily steep returns on that budget. So it might be awesome, sell pretty well, and still be declared a damning failure.

      The term has no other guarantees.

    With saber interactive? It’s gonna feature all the half ass stuff they are known to do and it’s AAA so it will feature that slop as well? Better never than like that!

    Neither studio has released anything much to be admired. Seems like the main thing Saber does is acquire other studios and pump out forgettable IP-based games. Would be delighted to be surprised here, but I won’t be holding my breath.
