EU Petition for taxing the rich and using the money for fighting climate change
This initiative calls on the European Commission to establish a European tax on great wealth. This would contribute to the Union’s own resources, and the revenue would make it possible to amplify and perpetuate European ecological and social transition and development cooperation policies, cofunded by the Member States. The contribution would be used to combat climate change and inequality and would help to ensure that European citizens pay their fair share towards achieving these objectives.
I’d rather they paid it back without my help. Haven’t they got enough money?
How often did ruling actors of any historic social constellation give up ruling by themselves?
May it be - just spontaneous thoughts here - that those beeing ruled over have to do the emancipation?

The title would have been better if worded ” Help FORCE the rich to pay back…” As worded currently it reads like we should be tipping in some cash to give them a hand to make reparations. That was my point.
