I started writing up this lengthy comment about how this article isn’t even about people displaced by the storms so much as those who were already homeless before, and how only ~39% of Florida voters are registered Republican, and even then we’re talking about whole families and single mothers here, and about government corruption and voter disenfranchisement, but… You said it all, and much more succinctly.
