Searx is nice as it is more reliable than DDG. I mostly use DDG but for whatever reason sometimes the search will stop working.
I really like searx so far. My only problem with it I’ve had is that instances keep going down. Obviously one can’t be too upset about a free service that’s not being monetized, but it’s still kind of frustrating to have to reconfigure it and switch all my browsers’ default searches to a new instance.
Yeah I have that and etsi.me on hand. Thus far there has not been a time when both were unavailable.
This is why I think the Google monopoly has killed itself. Google has taken its position for granted and now they are hurting themselves. People are moving way for the first time in decades. They have real competitors like DDG, Bing and Brave search.
AI.
It’s not even a question.
AI summary that might or might not be complete nonsense. Flip a coin.
Then a whole page of sponsored links.
After that you might find your answer.
For me personally the only reason to use Google at all anymore is if I need to find something on Reddit. Because Reddit only indexes through Google.
