    Is this a locking fridge situation, or a too much weight situation?

    If the prior we need to have a talk, if the latter it’s a tragedy but only preventable by the practice of the user

      Neither really. The mechanism intended to hold the storage compartment open failed, and the bed was too heavy for the woman to lift off herself in the limited time before she lost consciousness and then asphyxiated.

      Weight. One of the pneumatic pistons was bad. And given the position she was probably in she didn’t have the leverage to prop it open.
