I planned this book for 20 years, spent 4 years researching, writing, editing, and narrating it. The paperback, e-book, and audio versions will be available on October 21!

The videos are AI because I don’t have any money. The novel is written by myself, me, a human being who has no money because I spent the last three years writing a novel.
Edit:
the voice is also me, a human, who spent months huddled in a closet narrating the audiobook version.
It’s cool fam, the sidebar of this community explicitly says we welcome AI Art. People are just a little wary because the corporations are using “AI” in such terrible ways.
Understood, thanks!
That is cool and all but why are you talking like that then? Your words are really stilted and the intonation is all over the place.
I listen to up to 40 hours of audiobooks a week and that minute and a half alone was hard to listen to, if a book started off with someone reading it like that I would give it around 5 more minutes hoping the reader loosened up before just switching it off as I couldn’t listen to it.
I’m not trying to be a dick but this is why you are getting comments mentioning AI, you read like those AI audiobooks that have been popping up more recently. I know some people can ignore it and carry on listening but personally I can’t stand it. I won’t be the only one either so this factor may put a lot of people off from experiencing the novel that you have put a lot of work into.
I appreciate that you have no money and so probably have no alternative but it is maybe something to bear in mind :)
So I’m a bad narrator? OK. I can’t afford to hire somebody to narrate for me. But, critique noted.
OK
My voice is the same as it’s always been. Here is proof (video of myself speaking): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGcDAylJ-h8
Do you have suggestions for improvement?
OK
