The Atto 3 teardown in Japan revealed one of the ways BYD manages to keep costs down and pass the savings down to the person who buys the car. It’s all about producing as many of the components as possible in-house and integrating them.

OMG they actually hire workers and do stuff instead of outsourcing and stock buy backs to fluff corporate pay while they gut the company, gouge the average person, and cash out the competitiveness of the entire culture and economy. The Chinese didn’t subsidize anything. They openly stated in 2014 that they were investing in Research and Development. That is not manipulation it is honest business and engineering. Criminals make tariffs and block imports of honest products to support their crony coconspirators. These actions are burning down the world to support the very organizations that set it on fire. I’m for open market capitalism here. Let the arsonists burn in their own fire and let me buy an honest vehicle at a honest price.
