@Roundcat@Lucidlethargy I think it’s okay to self promote on other Instances, because… They will never see your post if they don’t boost/re-note etc in their local timeline. It will be pain in the ass, but if your content warrants to be seen, why not? You can make 5 posts on different instances or you can make 1 and boost it across 5 instances. Not everything reaches all instances, but some artwork/videos/guides/life lessons can and should be spread, even if you first to make it across.
