are there like any ROMs that Support being rooted and still lock the Bootloader? i have tried LineageOS and CalyxOS but neither of them worked, Lineage just refused to lock, and calyx startet bootlooping with the Message “no operating system found”

better yet is there any ROM that comes pre-rooted?

cause i need a locked Bootloader or otherweise WhatsApp (which i unfortunately need) wont work, but coming from a rooted rom, unrooted android is unbearable

    A locked bootloader looks for official ROM signatures, which a custom ROM doesn’t have.

    That’s why this is impossible. You can hard-brick your phone, that’s why LineageOS doesn’t allow you to relock.

      i am asking this as CalyxOS and GrapheneOS support locking the Bootloader, so i thought surely it must be possible to make a rom that has magisk included and can relock the Bootloader

        Yeah it is possible, GrapheneOS flashes their own verified boot key when you install it. This also means you have to reset these keys if you want to go back to stock.

        I’m not sure why lineageos doesn’t do this, might just be a lot of work for all the devices they support. GrapheneOS only has to support the last couple of pixels after all.

        The OS needs access to the keys accepted by the bl. Pixels have that, so graphene can relock. Other vendors don’t give this opportunity, so Roms like los which support many devices, better be safe than sorry.

        Try relock on a xiaomi device and you have unrecoverable hard brick.

      Yeah iirc WhatsApp does show a warning when you first set it up with an unlocked bootloader, but you can just continue anyway.

    I have PIF and LSposed installed with denylist active for WA, Gplay and GplayServices. It’s working.

      i really hope this will work, as that seems to be the easiest one, although i already tried all that and kt didn’t work (as “documented” in one of my previous posts)
