Is that not typical? In my home state, the mailed ballots must be dated.

Hm maybe I’m thinking of postmark, truthfully I don’t remember now, I mailed mine like two weeks ago and have tossed the instructions.
Why.
It’s a ballot, it was received on time, that’s a vote.
What is the alleged purpose in requiring dating? Since someone can put whatever date they want, it’s adding low quality data to a process that, as noted below will get the actual postmark date (that actually matters) so what is gained by requiring the date other than one more thing for voters to remember?
