Drag has spent all day in voice chat with drag’s trans friends in America and now they’re crying. They’re going to die if they don’t pack up their entire lives and never see their family again, and they don’t even know how to financially accomplish that. No matter what happens, their lives as they know them are over, and they’re going to suffer. They thought they had more time. They thought Harris was going to win. Now they know that if they can’t get out, they’re going to be murdered. They’re scared and sad and they’re crying.

Fuck every single person who contributed to this. Drag’s friends didn’t deserve this. Whatever fascist agenda made anyone think this was an okay outcome, fuck them. This is not okay!

I agree. Fuck the establishment Democrats. Fuck the astroturf bots and genocide supporters. We need a need left party that isn’t full of corporate cucks.

A true left party would have lost as well, unfortunately.

No they wouldn’t have. You saw the polls when Kamala picked Tim Walz. The people wanted popular progressive policies. The donor-class establishment messaging that followed is precisely why they lost.

It absolutely matters. If Democrats don’t learn anything from this, which I doubt that they will, it will be the same thing in 4 more years.

It will be the same thing again in 4 more years. This wasn’t even the first time they’ve done this.

Nah. This is what those sitting out for their “moral high-ground” don’t get through their heads. The entire government, all three branches, is now captured by literal Hitler-appreciating fascists who have promised to end democracy. There probably won’t be another opportunity for the dems to fuck up a presidential election.

That’s what people said in 2016. Democrats keep running the same centrist bullshit and getting wrecked because of it. It matters so that the party can make actual changes.

Biden was a centrist and won. I really doubt it has to do with this. Look for the article written for the guardian by the pollster. It boiled down to:

              • racism
              • misogyny
              • ignorance about the economy
              • the false belief that Trump will lower taxes for the middle class

Trump blew a pandemic response so badly that morgues were overflowing, so he was punished by voters accordingly. Meanwhile the Dems had a lackluster response to massive inflation so those same voters punished them accordingly. Had Biden gone after price gouging companies, housing speculators, ans pharmaceutical companies, he would have had massive success.

I wouldn’t call the inflation reduction act “lackluster”. Grocery prices stabilized and wages rose to meet them.

I agree that I’d like to see actions taken to fix housing prices — but I think a lot can be done from the local level. Cities and states should enact an “empty property tax” to encourage investors to rent or sell. And cities should be enforcing already existing regulations around AirBNBs. These are just hotels using a pseudonym to skirt existing zoning and tax laws.

Yes. Fuck every single person who told people that Harris was a fascist, Harris wasn’t good enough to vote for, voting for Harris is genocide. The election results we’re seeing are those people’s fault. The people who hated Harris enough to let Trump get elected. Genocide supporters who killed drag’s friends.

Harris was supporting genocide. That is her fault and she is to blame for losing. It’s ridiculous that you think she lost for any other reason than her own doing. If you want to win as a politician then you have to get the support of the voters, and if you don’t then you failed as a candidate. If you think her campaign was a winning strategy and she still lost then that means the Democrat party is finished for good.

You’re saying all that like drag doesn’t already agree with you, except for the “no other reason” part. Harris failed because her voters didn’t care about stopping fascism, and she primarily campaigned on stopping fascism. Harris and the voters are both 100% to blame, because either one of them could have prevented this by: A: pandering better, or B: not being fascist apologisers
