Its not the CCP, though, it’s Chinese businessmen. They wouldn’t be buying a ton of property in the US if our laws around owning property were better.

The US allows foreigners to buy property. Not every country does. Chinese businessmen see US property as a good investment so they buy it. They are just looking for safe investments that they can’t get in China. Basically, if you are already wealthy in China its much safer to invest in foreign countries, so that the CCP cannot claim it.

Its not a conspiracy, it’s just capitalism.
