    As a player, it’s exactly what drove me to move on from Minecraft as the genre filled out. A bit of guidance and purpose goes a long way to keep things engaging, and Terraria always did a great job balancing that with sandbox freedom.

    I still enjoy MC, but it’s mostly nostalgia. And even then, it’s entirely because I can throw in some mods that add some extra structure to the game.

      I played Minecraft very early on and while it was cool mechanically there was just no game design or depth. Terraria on the other hand was a gem to play multiple times and actually felt like a game with progression. I guess people care more about building in Minecraft or it being 3d. But yeah you are right maybe mods might be the answer, I heard bedwars is good. But then again I could just play bedwars in rust and have a better experience.
