In a heartwarming story that will certainly have consequences for decades to come, little boys everywhere felt their hearts soar on Tuesday as American voters elected Donald Trump, showing the young ones that they, too, could someday grow up to be the most powerful sexual predator in America.
Reasonable people also agree that unless they have done something, rather than just be something, they’re fine.
But would you trust them?
Assuming they’ve never done anything egregious in the past, yeah. Anything else is a thought crime and prejudiced, and not a system good for a government.
If you knew they were one of those?
Yes. People cannot help what they are. They can help what they do. That’s the difference. I don’t care what someone thinks or believes, that’s between them and themselves. Maybe God, if you’re a believer.
What I care about is what people do. Every person has vile things they WANT to do, impulses they choose not to act on. None of us are purely innocent in our own heads. As long as it stays there, there’s no reason to condemn someone.
