Dude, just found this comminity the other day. Being honest, I always suspected and actually acknowledged some of the traits i had and have as autistic-ish; hell, even when growing up my mom and I used to joke around about me being autistic. But time passed and learned how to “act in life” and things were left only as a joke.

Anyway, I saw here someone sharing a link to RAADS test. I said to myself, naaah this is just a bunch of people seeking for validation of the ideas they already have. Fast forward a couple days, that idea never left me and took the test (I know what you are thinking) .

I just don’t know what to do with the results, honestly, I was expecting the score to be something in the realm of 100. But it is a fucking 176.

I just don’t know, man…

One of us! One of us!

For real though, autism is a wide spectrum and it’s not always obvious. Some of us only find out way later in life, I only found out like 2 years ago at age 34 and it was illuminating. Looking back on my life with this new information just made my entire life make so much more sense in a way. It has helped me understand and accept things about myself and others.

Knowing you have autism won’t really change much but at least you’ll understand yourself better and here you have a community of like-minded people where you can feel at home. Once I had that realization, I also realized most if not all of my close friends are also neurodivergent. I let some of them know of my suspicions, some I did not. Two of them actually just got their official diagnosis! I didn’t bother getting mine, I don’t really see the point as there is no doubt, I’m autistic AF.
