The fourth one hit, damaging the camera and two propellers.
But the operators of the 413th “Raid” battalion managed to bring the plane back and even landed it.
What was it about those British planes that returned while others didn’t? The places they had holes didn’t need reinforcement, they still worked well enough even with the holes. The ones that didn’t return did get hit somewhere else so the places to reinforce where somewhere the returned ones didn’t get hit.
If it were possible to award a drone with a medal for performance, then this one would have to be a recipient
I hope it gets preserved.
Hopefully the missiles were worth significantly more than the aircraft itself.
