    Hello peeps

    How goes it?

Edit: love you all, thanks for the welcomes! Have a photo of the cat that comes to visit me sometimes, most recently a few days ago!

You’re back! Fucking grouse man! This is such a tight little group, you know some people miss you when you’re not here. I had to look at trains because you weren’t here. I mean, I look at them anyway, but I thought of you and wondered if you were also train enjoying. Well, were you?

Edit; had alcoholic ginger beer at a park near a train station, sorry for effusive language. I’m ok.

        Ay thanks!

Actually, no, not really. I caught a train home on Halloween (after a bit of a tiki tour around on the trams), but that’s about it

I’m heading off on vacay next week, so I’ll have plenty of time to catch trains then

Even plotting a trip to the railway museum, if they decide to be open

Do I need to prescribe an hour’s off peak train travel? Trains fix everything :)

(Unless the trains are broken or otherwise turned into buses)

Cheers Tom! Things are going better, I’ve been seeing a psych regularly, and am moving out next month. A little spooky, but it’ll be nice to be like… A proper tenant with rights and all that fun stuff. The only downside is power companies are confusing, and I’ll have bills

That’s good to hear. There are told or there to help you compare prices because utilities are so ridiculous now, and there are no incentives to reward loyalty, so you can get the best deals by jumping around and changing company all the time

Yeah. At the moment I don’t have much choice because I’m still under 18, apparently origin let me sign up with the assistance of an adult. They’re exactly at the default offer, which I don’t think is good because there were plenty of places that were under it. In any case, I’ve just got a little under 4 months to go, so that’s like 1 and a bit bills

Once I turn 18, electricity, gas, and internet are probably all being changed every time I find somebody cheaper

THERE’S A STRAWBERRY DAY AND I MISSED IT??!?!?!?

(Maybe for the best. I forgot that I garden, and let my strawberries die, and went from a dense forest planter box of dozens down to 2 green sprouts I’m not entirely sure aren’t weeds. I’m a fraud)

Just want to say thank you all again for the support yesterday. Truly a supportive space here with great advice. After going into the eye and ear today for a follow up her schedule has reduced which means less refusal and it’s going to be a bit easier for her.

Finished work early and… just didn’t feel like going home straight away. So I’m having a cheeky can of alco ginger beer in a part of a local park not frequented by children and their company or youths (I dislike drinking around children and will actively avoid it). Might have an extra can too. Because fuck it, that’s why!

        Something odd happened last week.

He reached out to offer some mentoring because he felt that maybe it would help, which I agreed to.

He must have known he was leaving last week already. Curious to see what this will be about.

so your still meeting before he leaves? interesting.

I think you’ll find you don’t need mentoring. From what I heard your project management experience was second to none. all your skills in fact. Glowing report really.

Yeah I’m super curious to see what this is about. I don’t think he’s being asked to do it, I think he was offering because he’s a good dude.

I’ll keep you posted. First meeting is Friday.

Had a really helpful session with the psych today. Talked a lot about why I am struggling to let go of stress and work and gave me some good exercises to help getting some structure back and some boundaries (for me). I picked out this time. She is kind but not afraid to suggest stuff - which is good. Practical.

Step one. Back to decent bedtimes. Night all. ♥️

So I went to check out this blue sky thing. It turns out I actually created an account on there at some point under my real name. I don’t remember doing that, it had to be before Aussie.zone became a thing.

So I log into it, I’m already following half a dozen accounts that I don’t remember following (but they’re awesome people like George Takai and Mara Wilson).

    Review:
It’s all about US politics and how awful Twitter is. Boring. 😔

I never sent a single tweet in 15 years, I can’t see myself using this site either.

I have a Blue Sky account just to secure a user name and… Just checked and got the same experience. I’ll never use it either unless it becomes good for data mining.

Nath, if you’re not into microblogging in general then perhaps you won’t ever be interested in it, but the algorithm is easy to train or replace with a custom Feed, moderation lists like this one let you mass block confirmed dickheads, and labellers like this one let you filter everything else.

Given your skillset you might even enjoy creating and publishing your own custom feed algorithm.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Fucking cleaning took so long even with the help of a friend because there was still Stuff that took long rob to load. Wish I didn’t have overdue stuff to do at work this morning.

But i am really, truly, for sure this time 99% done - every last thing has been cleaned except the kitchen and second bedroom floor, it was too late for a vacuum. Tomorrow lunchtime i shall mop, take exit photos, drop off the keys and be done with moving out.

… next stage is moving in… I live in a fortress of bags and boxes. But first, my car is loaded up with shit that needs donating including a neglected bike (with good parts). Gonna try and temporarily store it at work so I don’t need to be driving around with a whole ass bike in the back for the next few days.

Also, the check tyre pressure light came on even though I got a new tyre. More headaches! Rahhhh!

    Good night everyone…

interesting development at work. Boss asked some common sense questions, leadership team didn’t really have answers. Looks like things may not be as doom and gloom as we originally thought, so thats awesome. I don’t love the company but I do love the boss and they’ll pay to upskill my unqualified ass so thats worth something.
