As per title, I’d like to see if anyone has any decent kids movies they would like to share. I’m getting sick of watching Disney.
Maybe include in your suggestion/s your recommended age range, if you think it’s necessary.
Check out the website Common Sense Media. They do a great job of listing which movies are good for which age groups. You can also find lists of movies based on which streaming service you have access to.
I’ve really enjoyed The Mitchells Vs The Machines with my little guy lately.
Pretty much any movie by Studio Ghibli.
Maybe not Grave of the Fireflies.
Definitely not Princess Mononoke either. Everything else on there is certified adorable and kid friendly.
As a child who wore down his Princess Mononoke DVD to the point that particular moments would skip or freeze each viewing, the only lasting impacts I’ve suffered is an inclination towards environmental terrorism and deep seeded short hair fetish.
Otherwise, I turned out fine.
inclination towards environmental terrorism
Been rewatching Pokémon with the child and it seems that direct violence is the solution to most problems caused by industrialism and/or capitalism.
Mononoke is my favorite… But it’s not for kids
