    If I like someone, I call them a friend. They are now my friend regaurdless of whether i am theirs.

      Do you call each other names that would make a stranger think that you hate each other? Do you do things for each other? Do you share secrets? Do you share stories?

      Acquaintances will know the surface you friends will know the real you.

        Oh this, Yeah, i got a bestie, we do insult each other in a friendly manner, he’s the best person i met in my entire life.

        Nowadays he found other friends to play with and i personally feel like i mosrly lost him, it makes me sad. ☹️

    I just ask. Friends don’t mind, and it’s a good moment to tell them you appreciate them as a friend.

      That’s the kind of question where almost everyone will give you the same answer.

      A friend will say you’re friends, because you are.
      Non-friends will say you’re friends; because either they want to take advantage, or don’t want to offend.

        People tend to answer honestly in my experience. Those who lied and became friends after a while, that’s just a friend gained.

        As for taking advantage, I guess that depends on the person. I’m not particularly vulnerable, as I set the same standards for friends and strangers.
