      Streetcar rails can be very shallow so I imagine it became derailed with snow/ice buildup, particularly if this occurred in a city that is not used to snow.

        This happened in Dnipro, Ukraine, on the 28th of December 2021. I don’t know how to transcribe the street names, but if you put 48.474813, 35.020085 into OpenStreetMaps or Google Maps, it should send you right where the accident happened, according to this article. This one even has a little map.
