Imagine letting a terminally Ill fan play your game, and they say it’s trash. I would reevaluate a lot of my life decisions.
“This game is rubbish, good day sir!” Flatlines
Better title than “Fan gets to play new Borderland title, feels very sick”.
“Superfan Plays New Borderlands Early; Literally Dies”
I’m not saying this is what’s happening, but if it were me in this situation, I might lie to myself about how good it was just so I didn’t have to deal with the mental anguish of wasting my last request.
He probably signed a contract to say it was amazing if they let him play it.
Like, what would they do if he broke the contract? He’s likely a huge fan and genuinely loved it. That not to say it’s great, just that a terminally I’ll super fan loved it.
Typical capitalism
I mean what else is he supposed to say? That it was mid?

For a while I was wondering was “Terminally 3” was
At least they didn’t say it was as good as the movie
This is going to be a standard in media journalism. Say that someone terminally ill had the luck to consume X and than have the best fucking experience before die.
Is Gearbox just ultra-sympathetic to their fans(not calling this a bad thing, I genuinely hope they are) or does getting diagnosed with a terminal illness make you go “Y’know what? Fuck it”.
Cause I feel like when I read “terminally ill fan”, it’s either about when Blizzard gave a fuck about their players, or Borderlands.
