Mwah, the game is apparently fairly lenient on microtransactions. I hope the signal is: “maybe out liveservice game shouldn’t be utter crap”.
That didn’t save plenty of other games either. So everyone is going to keep chasing this dragon to their own demise.
There is no such thing. Any form of taking money inside a video game is the same abuse.
Being gentle about it now isn’t even meaningful. They’ll make it hurt as hard they can get away with. The entire product exists to maximize that revenue.
Concord also happened this year. The message will be “we gotta be careful”.
