After nearly 20 years in the role, Toei Animation's One Piece anime has decided to replace the longtime voice actor for Franky, Kazuki Yao.

      “[Announcement of replacement of Franky]. Kazuki Yao, who is currently playing the role of Franky in the TV anime ONE PIECE, will be graduating from the Straw Hat Pirates. This decision was reached after lengthy discussions. We will announce a successor during the Super Stage RED at Jump Festa 2025 on Sunday, December 22nd, and hold a graduation ceremony for Yao-san.”
