Why do people hate living near these so much? Just unsightly?
Pretty much.
Six battery storage facilities - covering the equivalent of 128 football pitches - are planned for sites around Leitholm.
These are not particularly picturesque sites to look at - a whole lot of metal boxes sat on gravel. These are being built on existing fields, which the local population presumably prefers to look at. Its a shame these things can’t be built underground or something.
