It’s a reference to a more obscure Marx Brother, as in the 30s-40s comedy group. Does not have any special significance to me personally.
Also [email protected]. Not a lot of Zeppos out here.

That was from the 14th. Too late now, isn’t it?
Sure, probably. Still qualifies though, right?
Current circumstances do seem worrisome. But, we’ve been threatened with that for all my life, and even decades before I was born. So who knows. MAD is a certain thing and I don’t think entire countries are unstable enough to let that happen. I’m not really sure what Putin is getting at threatening all of Europe. The situation with China and Taiwan doesn’t look good, with the US pledge of taking Taiwan’s side for independence.
This awful video I saw where someone put pizza in a blender and turned it into a casserole
I’ve heard people call doing a u-turn “whipping a shitty” and always thought it was a dumb term.
That was my experience in topical sections of reddit. Often the first few comments determined how the entire post would go, and you could get completely different results saying the same thing on different days. Same with replies I guess.
Worth noting that Elron claimed in 2016 they’d have this tech ready to drive a car across the entire country by the next year.
“Our goal is, and I feel pretty good about this goal, that we’ll be able to do a demonstration drive of full autonomy all the way from LA to New York, from home in LA to let’s say dropping you off in Time Square in New York, and then having the car go park itself, by the end of next year,” he said on a press call today. “Without the need for a single touch, including the charger.”
Things the type of thing he has done for years to pump up Tesla’s stock price. It’s been over 8 years since he said that. The system doesn’t seem technologically ready to drive 4 blocks down a street unmonitored, much less 3000 miles. I’m sure “doge” will recommend removing the regulatory hurdles though.
“The recent elections also feel like a cultural tipping point towards, once again, prioritising speech.”
Reminds me of how Elron is saying they’re going to censor or punish “negative” speech, as decided by Elron. Just in reverse. I can imagine the type of opinions Zucker is planning to enable on FB etc due to the “recent elections”.
More political discussion sounds completely awful as having a constant stream of irritating or provocative political topics shoved in my face is why I left Twitter. Currently threads is surprisingly good about that, so makes sense they’re planning to ruin it.
As far as making their systems work better for not censoring things that don’t need to be censored, that would be nice as it’s been a legitimate problem. I don’t have a huge amount of confidence though as they’ve always been terrible about that, like Twitter.
My interpretation of the article: conservatives throw a fit when they can’t spread lies unchecked and an “expert” or “authority” corrects their bullshit. Also, it’s cheaper for Meta to let their users do it.
wow, that is definitely extremely horrible.
This is my first time hearing about that. Many people are extremely stupid, so it makes sense some notion like that would be idiotic racist bullshit that various losers would believe.
Lovely how this incredibly wealthy person is laser focused on making things worse for poor people. I suppose it’s the usual ploy of making people as desperate as possible so people like him can prey on us more easily.
I agree. It could bring about positive changes, but slowly, and it will be much worse at first. Of course Trump and co-conspirators will manage to blame the problems on Democrats somehow.
Maybe just say the neighbor moved away
