I’m much more upset about this pardon than Hunter’s pardon. This woman stole $53 million dollars over 20 years from tax payers. As far as I know, Hunter never stole anything from taxpayers.

He doesn’t have to give a shit any more. The fact that he’s one of the better presidents in my lifetime is just horrible.

He’s a shitbag too that’s what’s up. Just because someone has a D next to their name doesn’t mean they’re a good person or that they actually care about the country.

He could have been Jimmy Carter 2.0 after Trump’s bullshit - but instead chose to be another Lich stubbornly holding onto the throne whilst fueling genocide.

She’s still a convicted felon and was serving her time on home confinement. She served several years in actual prison. She has not been forgiven for her crime.

I really don’t understand Lemmy. People massively confusing pardons and sentence commutations. Further being outraged at the horrors of the American prison system, yet being pissed when people aren’t imprisoned enough.

One of the people he pardoned was a judge responsible for the cash-for-kids scandal. A judge who took money to send kids to for profit prisons. I just can’t fathom that they’re someone deserving of a pardon.

I think my point is she did real time in prison (like 5 years?). And if your concern is that someone who steals 10k gets more time, my question is:

Does she deserve more time or do they deserve less?

This forum likes to decry inhumane sentences which is great, but I hope you can see the misalignment in views when the same hive mind wants her to be locked away for much longer.
