I had this epiphany in the shower. I started thinking about the paradox of how if time travel is at all possible, then we would be seeing them now from the future. Then I thought what if time travellers figured out how to observe us from another dimension or something, which is why we sometimes feel like we’re being watched but don’t know from where. But surely there would be slip ups or someone trips and knocks something over or makes a sound or doesn’t fully conceal themselves, so what do you do? You go back in time in the same location, make some terrible event happen (for the greater good) and bam, it was a ghost of one of the people who died there. In reality the paranormal activity happened first and they went back in time to give it a (more) plausible explanation.
