It looks like the citizens of the USA are going to have to replace the government by 2026 with a different government run by the citizens of the USA.

Unfortunately about half of us* are quite happy about how it’s going.

Edit: *who can vote and care enough to do so at all.

22%ish actually. The actual percentage of US population that voted for this. (And maybe a few percent more for those that didn’t vote.)

Not half of everyone voted. I think we’d be better off if they did, but I can’t blame them too much for sitting out when the other side still supports a genocide.

when the other side still supports a genocide.

          Oh fuck off.

Regardless what Biden did or didn’t do to help Israel, Trump has long shown that he is happy to go much further in his sucking up to his buddy Bibi.

The 2 are vastly different in the level of harms they’ll allow to happen to the Palestinians.

Failing to vote for the “lesser evil” is allowing the much greater evil to do whatever he wants.

Voter turnout was low in 2024 compared to 2020. I made a conjecture as to why that’d be the case when the stakes were so damn high. But fuck me for trying to point that out.

I think a lot of folks are still out there downvotin’ as if the election were still up for grabs. It’s true that both sides supported genocide. The democrats utterly failed to even pretend to be willing to do the right thing, and we’ll all suffer for it.
