Chelsea Elizabeth Manning is an American activist and whistleblower who was born on this day in 1987. She is a former United States Army soldier who was convicted by court-martial in July 2013 of violations of the Espionage Act and other offenses, after disclosing to WikiLeaks nearly 750,000 classified, or unclassified but sensitive, military and diplomatic documents.

Among the documents released was the infamous “Collateral Murder” video, which depicted two American helicopters firing on Reuters journalists and children. Manning was imprisoned from 2010 until 2017, when her sentence was commuted by Barack Obama.

      I had no clue Chelsea manning was trans. I knew of her, first picture I’ve seen of her though haha

        woah, I checked Wikipedia and that’s true!
        She actually came out in the news the day after she got sentenced. She had to threaten to sue if she wasn’t allowed HRT (It’s allowed in civilian prison but not military prison) and they said they would let her do it, THEN THEY DIDNT LET HER. She then started the lawsuit then was allowed to start HRT. It went on for 3 years while she was still in prison but was eventually dismissed because she got pardoned by Obama. She also said she wasn’t really harassed by inmates and she trusted them.

        Damn she’s actually so based

          I learned about her when she dropped in on hBomberGuy’s Nightmare 101% DK64 Stream for a trans charity. She came in and hung out for like hours while she wrote her book.

              I watched all like 54 hours of it, it’s amazing. Some other folks pop in… The guy who did DK’s voice, the guy who made DOOM, …AOC lawl

              It started out so small and just exploded, he originally wanted like 500USD for the charity and before he was on camera he blasted that goal.
