According to The Information, Apple chose not to include these and many more apps because they are simply not working yet. Vision Pro apps and functions said to have been either postponed or dropped completely include: Tai Chi app, Nike workout, Yoga, Gaming where precision control is needed, Running Mac apps, and Augmented or 3D Apple TV+ content
I’m not sure about anyone else, but this is the type of tech I would wait for a few generations before even remotely considering diving into it. It just doesn’t seem worthwhile to me, especially considering that it sounds like the first generation will be a paid beta.
This is how I will be moving forward with it. I really want it but don’t want to deal with a tech demo. Will wait a few generations.
I’m not sure why this would be surprising to anyone. The point of announcing it now is so they can put it in the hands of devs to make 3rd party apps, of course their software isn’t complete and shippable on the day in which it’s announced to be shipping (probably) a year later.
I thought the same thing; my impression is there is a ton or work still to be done and they are announcing it so devs can get ready. Hmmm maybe that’s why they announced it at WWDC?
It’s because they want money ASAP. So they’re rushing it’s release. I deal with shit like this at my job. Quality will always suffer at the expense of someone’s profit.
I’m pretty sure Apple are not exactly short of a few dollars and can afford to not make a profit on it for now
