        Mill isn’t a currency. It’s a fraction of a currency, like a cent. Both dollar and euros have cents, for example, the word just refers to 1/100 of the given unit of value. Mill is 1/1000, though no modern currency uses that for any physical coins (afaik).

        The bag is apparently only 1 pound, but that’s clearly a lot more coins than just a hundred one cent coins.
