I haven’t figured this one out yet. I mark them as read on the website instead.

There is a button on the bottom bar of each reply that looks like a chat bubble with a dot in the upper right. Tap it, and the icon changes to colorized with a checkmark. Now that message is “read” and a refresh should remove it from your “Unread” view.

There’s a little icon on comment replies in your inbox that will mark as read. In the following image, it’s the fourth from the left. To get that to show, you need to long press to the right of the user (it can be a little tricky).

The button with the red circle marks the reply as read.

The button with the blue circle marks all replies as read.

Make sure you’re on the latest version of jerboa if you don’t see them (0.0.34)

      No, I don’t see that:

My Jerboa “Inbox” view starts at the top: –the navigation section (left arrow, filter, double-check-mark) / then tabs for replies, mentins, messages –then the main content pane with the replies; each of these replies do not have any action buttons underneath them –then the bottom navigation (home, communities, inbox, bookmarks, profile).

So I can only “mark all read” but I cannot upvote or reply from this view, and notably, I cannot mark one reply as read.

What am I missing? In the link you provided, I could not find an explantion to toggle visibility of anything.

The url works for me, and points to my comment explaining how to show the bottom bar. Pasting the relevant text here:

        1. Find the username of the commenter in the upper left. This defines the height of the top-bar.
        2. Long-press the whitespace in the top-bar to the right of the username. Make sure to hit white space, if you tap the username or one of the other linkable elements of the top-bar something else happens.
        3. If you have tactile feedback enabled on your phone, you’ll feel a vibration and/or hear a click as the bottom-bar appears. If the comment is lengthy, the bottom bar may have appeared off screen… and if you have tactile feedback completely disabled you may get no indication this has happened. Now that the bottom-bar is visible you can click the reply icon.
