Don’t buy motorbikes. It is only a matter of time that you will fall from it or hit something. Unlike a car, the crumple zone on a bike IS YOU. I’ve seen enough mangled dead bikers in the hospital morgue to put me off ever owning one. Bikers lose to everything, even a small rock or some oil on the road. Don’t do it.

Life is about maganging risk. If you are that risk adverse, more power to you. I know I will die regardless so i will enjoy my weekend bike and camping trips with friends. Beats sitting inside on the computer just wasting my life away. However, i do manage the risk with good gear, training and maintance.

Couple of cheeky adages I’ve heard about bikers.

There are two types of bikers: those who’ve crashed and those who haven’t crashed yet.

Doctors have a term for bikers, and that term is “donors.”

In all seriousness, if you want to drive a motorcycle, I won’t stand in your way.
