I feel guilty everytime I think about it, but I genuinely enjoyed 2020 for the most part.

I’m happy for you but woah Nelly, that has not been the case for me. Some great life events have happened from 2020-2024 but it is has been a constant struggle.

      Anyway, stay up now 🤙

I made a list of my worst years:

      1. 1997 and 2020 - tied
      2. 2019
      3. 2021 (into early 2022)
      4. 2018
      5. 2017

Although I won’t go into details, for reference, 2017 was when sepsis nearly killed me a few times. It could probably be a good candidate for fourth place.

As a friend helpfully pointed out, I was in a good position to weather lockdown and even thrive (seemingly the same as yourself), but Covid completely derailed my life for years and I am still dealing with the mess. So the meme did hit home for me but, rather than 2025 lurking in a sinister manner, I’m aiming to push on and get the last of the mess sorted so I get on with my new life.
