The films are often brutal kills where the camera stares at the gore rather than trying to get the entire scene shot well. Gore is well done though.
Imagine the worst death scenes of OG day of the dead, only they’re just shot worse; seemingly lit like a video production and with a singular focus on effects and not the actual point of the scene.
If the goal is for say someone to get comeuppance like dawn of the dead well the these films just stare at blood and the clown…
Combine that with the fact that throughout the series the clown seemingly comes from nowhere, has little back story and will never die… so cool I guess. No beginning and no end and no point.
I guess they achieve a purpose, but not sure the point.
