I started this community because I made an AMA post on the lemmyshitpost sub and had a lot of fun! I wanted to make a place dedicated to others doing the same. This post will act as a place to ask meta questions about the sub itself.
As this is a brand new community I also need Moderators! I’m brand new to this, I’ve never moderated a Lemmy community or even a Reddit community for that matter, and I honestly don’t really know what I’m doing so help would be much appreciated! - If you post an AMA, you’re expected to answer questions thoughtfully. However, you’re not obligated to answer anything that makes you uncomfortable.

- Do not ask overly personal, invasive, or inappropriate questions. Respect the privacy of others.
Will there be any kind of verification process?
I’ve been thinking of how or if that needs to be implemented after being told that it could be a benefit by a few people. To me, it seems a little unnecessary since this isn’t really intended for use by public figures or celebrities of any kind, anyone that would really need verification. The community is intended to be more of just a fun, informal social kind of AMA, but I can still see how it would be beneficial outside of that. In all honesty though, I’ve never started a community and have little experience moderating or doing anything like this, so I’m not entirely sure how I’d implement it. I’m hoping to get to know some more people with more experience to maybe help out with that.

I would assume a simple DM to the moderators with a photograph proving identity and time/date would be sufficient for verification. I’m not going to add myself as a moderator but you obviously have the support of myself and the other SJW admins if you should need it.
