i think its a cartoon technique so you dont wonder if there might be a person hiding on the other side of the bed, which would derange the context here.

If you want to lie straight on your back and it’s really cold, you have to choose to cover either your feet or your chest.

Just get a bigger blanket. I’m tall and my comforter can cover both my toes and my head if I wanted. I also have regular blankets that do the job as well.

This varies by human size and blanket size.

One of my friends recently said he never had his shoulders and feet covered at the same time, and another friend who is shorter than I am shared a look of horror with me. I’m 5’3" and regularly tuck excess blanket under my feet and legs like a makeshift sleeping bag, it never occurred to me that this isn’t something everyone can do. Anyway, we decided it’s not okay for him to live life that way and made him an 8’x6’ quilt. He almost cried when we gave it to him lol.

Really? Bigger blankets exist. Source: I’m tall and don’t have this issue.

If you’re having trouble, look for comforters, which are usually designed to stretch from the head of the bed and be tucked into the foot of the bed.

Why my friend didn’t get one that would fit, I don’t really know, but I suspect it’s because he’s still financially and mentally recovering from being a homeless teen. A handmade quilt that size would solve his problem, but it was also a way for us to show him we love him and he deserves to be warm at night

I have slept with hands and feet uncovered for as long as I can remember. I have mild Reynaud’s though, and heating of extremities can be exceptionally uncomfortable and sometimes painful. I can’t sleep with socks.
