As pace and severity of human H5N1 cases accelerate, NIH leaders call for more action on bird flu | CNN

Most human cases of bird flu in North America have been mild, a fact that’s underscored by a new study of the first 46 confirmed human H5N1 infections in the United States this year. But the case of an ill Canadian teen stands out because of its severity and because the source of exposure remains a mystery.

What, you mean more action than “nothing”?

The US is now run by MAGA minds. There is NOTHING that can and will be done. Many red hats will die but that’s a sacrifice THEY are willing to make.

We just need to wear N95 masks and let them die of H5N1. Both problems will cancel each other out.

I don’t give a fuck about the redhats dying.

Its all the innocent people they’ll kill along the way that concern me.

Remember last pandemic they literally assaulted people over masks.

Re: being assaulted for wearing a mask

It’s awful that you could hide the N95 mask under a white hood to AVOID being assaulted today

As a millennial, I’d like to bow out. I’ve seen enough history happen and I don’t like where this is going

I hate the fact that we’re about to repeat a history that is only 8 years old.

Jesus christ, it’s already eight years old and nothing has been improved or learned.

No, lots of things changed and improved, thanks to biden.

But…Biden is boring, and after 4 years of trump…Media absolutely hates a boring president, so every major win he had was barely covered, and almost never had the “panel of experts” on to discuss it in such a way average people could wrap their heads around it.

But Trump will undo all the gains Biden made unfucking the first Trump presidency.

So we’re gonna be back to square one regardless.

You went off on a tangent after your first sentence. Could you share what Biden did to help this?

I actually think Biden has been a really good president, for what it’s worth, but I haven’t seen anything reported about him making improvements in this area.

Humans have only two ways to react. Under and over. This will be fun… again…

It’s one way, under react until you have to over react.
