    Guess it’s Luigi time then.

One of the country’s founders did suggest we would renew this shit in blood.

It’s like they’ve all forgotten about the 4 boxes.

They took the soap box with segregated “free speech zones,” militarized police action against protest, propaganda, and algorithms to hide “radical” unorthodox content.

They took the ballot box with Citizens United and gerrymandering.

They took the jury box with corrupt judges and the complete lack of civil education for the common person to even know what jury nullification is.

The only remaining box is the cartridge (ammo) box.

The only remaining box is the cartridge (ammo) box.

Which interestingly is not just a box they have expressly left available but have expanded its availability. They may have assumed we’d just use it against our own class.

        Their mistake.

Some people cannot learn by example; cannot empathize. They must feel the pain directly.

      We should.

Good luck getting it to pass both houses of the US Congress with a 2/3 vote. And then you need to have 38 State legislatures ratify it.

Wow. The shift to the right has been progressing for 40 years on college campuses, last year’s immediate a d nearly unanimous response to Palestine to quash any narrative other than Israel good despite there obviously being a range of opinions any observer can easily see, was a big flex of how far right campuses are willing to go to support national political alignment but this is still surprising.

It’s the question of the year how HR can hold two opinions so divorced of each other operating in the same department and same org to antithetical ends: that the weak and inexperienced shouldn’t receive the benefit of forming union protection against a massive and powerful organization at the UC system and at the same time that 50% of their budget goes to DEI training, counseling, facilitation, audits, analysis…
