He’s never looked good, but recently he’s been looking worse. I thought I was imagining it.

I read a thing long back that I’ll never be able to find again… (sorry) But pretty sure it was during trumps first pregnancy, given the link to Johnson.

But it focused on that whole aesthetic thing. It focused mostly on Trump and Boris Johnson, two men known for looking absolutely ridiculous.

It was about how the fabricated image of being disheveled or incompetent worked in their favor, making people think their negatives were mistakes, bumbles, when really they were intentional actions.

Basically it was about how they cultivate the image of incompetence to get away with doing horrible unpopular things.

And I can’t unthink that, now that I’ve thought it.

I think that 100% holds true for Johnson. The man is highly educated and well spoken, but acts ridiculous. As for Trump, I fully believe he’s just a useful idiot, as a lot of his blunders have been harmful to more than just his public image. He is also very ego driven and would probably present as more intelligent if he were capable of it, whereas Johnson never seemed to care much when he was ridiculed.
