I don’t think they’re designed either way, you can lie to a kid about how long a journey is as they have no real concept of time, this is a white lie, to stop them moaning about being stuck in the car. Lots of people (sheep) just want to be told the grass is greenest right where they are and there’s no need to look any deeper, ignorance is bliss. Lies should make people angry, but for some reason they don’t. It’s almost expected from certain people, like anyone in power will probably lie.
