Summary

Mark Zuckerberg ended Meta’s factchecking program on Facebook and Instagram, replacing it with user-submitted “Community Notes,” similar to Twitter.

The move is part of a broader shift to the political right, aligning with Donald Trump’s incoming administration.

Zuckerberg criticized factcheckers as “politically biased” and promised fewer “censorship mistakes.”

Meta has also elevated conservatives to key roles and moved content moderation operations from California to Texas, mirroring Elon Musk’s strategies.

While the changes may alienate liberals and some advertisers, analysts expect minimal financial impact on Meta.

    Cowardice and boredom.

He’s likely completed his Hawaiian bunker fortress and, like a cop with a cold gun on his hip, reminding him everyday that he isn’t using it, he wants to start some shit so he can (he hopes) feel something. Similar to how the Christians want the end of the world, because their lives are empty and they want to see if they were right about the existence of a god. They’d end us all in a moment to satisfy their own selfish impulses
