Hey! I hope this kind of post is allowed. If not, I’ll remove it, obviously.
I’ve seen many complaints/suggestions that jerboa opens all links to Lemmy-instances in the standard browser. Which, granted, I don’t know how long it would take to fix it/implement it as a feature.
So, as I’ve stated in the title, I discovered some kind of work around! If you see someone dropping a link for an instance, try opening their profile and look into their comments and posted, whether they posted in said channel. Chances are high (at least for the ones I tried) that they posted there already. So you could open the instance directly in the app by tapping on its name above the post/comment.
I realize that this will not work on every occasion, but at least right now most people who plug a channel seem to be a moderator or at least somewhat active in it.
So, until we get an easier way, try looking through the posters profile! :)
Also, if you also know of different work-arounds feel free to share! :D

Now that’s weird?
For example, I can press on your profile and see that you’ve made one post on the Mlem community as your only post?
Like, do you only see a number of how many posts/comments a user has made?

Might be a dumb question, but do you swipe to the left to access the posts/comments? I can also see the score, but only on the “main page” of the profile, I need to swipe left one/twice to access the posts/comments.

Damn. Okay, that one is beyond me, then. Hope your problem resolves soon!
Yeah, this is probably the easiest way.
I haven’t tried this in jerboa, but from the browser you can look for your community in https://browse.feddit.de/ and paste in the search bar. Worked every time so far
Seems to be another way of doing it. Sadly I still would have to leave the app for doing it this way.
I don’t know, maybe I’m just too lazy, but I really don’t want to attend online forums/social media (be it reddit or lemmy) through a browser. Just feels less enjoyable to me?
Yeah, doing it from the app is the best way for sure. Sadly it’s still clunky, but it’ll surely get better soon
Let’s hope the change comes soon. I really like lemmy and the Jerboa App, so naturally I’d like to see it improved. :)
Yeah. I can’t code, so i’ll buy the dev a coffee later today
