“Comes out” is the wrong phrase here, having been used for so long to talk about historically repressed people, especially LGBTQ+, having the courage to live openly and honestly in spite of the injustice they may face.

Or Hood-Off, as in Klansmen
Would “outs herself” be any better? I feel like we’re splitting hairs.
