Historical anthropologists are divided on the question of whether this one made any sense to the people of 1991.
What I find most perplexing is that I recognized that floating head as Zsa Zsa Gabor before reading the caption.
I didn’t think it was ‘about’ anything other than how campy TOS was (which would surely be familiar to most people in 1991), but if anyone has other reads I’m interested.
Zsa Zsa was pretty infamous after she got convicted for slapping that cop, back in 1989. The crew of the Enterprise here is lucky they didn’t run into her hand!
My wife and I once met a woman in Budapest named Zsa Zsa … we immediately shouted ‘Zsa Zsa Gabor!’ without thinking and the woman started laughing saying that every tourist she meets says that. Nicest lady we met on our trip and we spent a couple of hours chatting with her about the city and her family. A definite highlight to our trip.
Definitely didn’t need defense shields for that Zsa Zsa.
As opposed to the offense shields?
Y not both? :-)
Uruk Hai shields are formidable.
In summary, you gotta have faith… faith of the heart! 🎶🎵🎼
