Kannst Ibu getrost mit Opiaden ersetzen. Es ist eine Schande, dass Oxycodon hier überhaupt zugelassen wurde, aber in den Staaten wird das stark süchtigmachende Opiat teils bei normalen Kopfschmerzen verschrieben, wie sie bei leichtren Erkältungen vorkommen können.
Es gibt schon manchmal gute Gründe, ein Opiat zu verschreiben, weil die gängigeren Schmerzmittel ab einer bestimmten Menge dann deutlich schlimmer für die Organe sind. Gerade bei älteren Patienten mit chronischen Krankheiten wählt man öfter ein Opiat und nimmt dabei das Risiko einer Abhängigkeit in Kauf.
Aber eben nicht für einen verstauchten Knöchel, wie es lange genug in den USA normal war.
Es ist natürlich immer eine Nutzen/Risiko Abwägung, aber dort hat eben Purdue Vae Victis brüllend Geld auf die Nutzenseite der Waage geschmissen.
Schwere Vergiftungen von Ibuprofen ab etwa 400 mg/kgKG möglich zu sein, wobei diese häufiger erst ab Mengen von mehr als 600 mg/kgKG, meist aber sogar deutlich mehr als 800 mg/kgKG auftreten.

Bin da nicht so drin in der Sache Medikamente, aber haben wir denn eine gleichwertige schmerzlindernde Alternative?
Ja, haben wir (z.B. Fentanyl). Aber da kommst du wesentlich schwieriger dran.

Fentanyl hat eine Analgetische Potenz von 100, Oxycodon hat eine von Potenz von 2, ist also doppelt so stark wie Morphin. Zwar ist die Potenz nicht = Wirkstärke, aber zeigt ungefähr auf in welcher Liga Fentanyl spielt. Allerdings macht es immer die Dosis. Stärker sind noch Remifentanil und Sufentanil.

Und trotzdem der Pro-Tipp bei Erkältung: Abends vor dem Zubettgehen eine Ibu einwerfen. Man schläft durch und erholt sich wesentlich besser als wenn man die halbe Nacht vor Husten und Rotzen nicht schlafen kann.
Codeintropfen wirken auch Wunder, wenn man Kontakte hat.
Rechts würde das eher zu den Amis passen.

Nothing to be proud of, Germany. When one of my besties ended up with severe anxiety and depression, she was prescribed St John’s Wort instead of proper medication. The anxiety exacerbated her stomach ulcer, the ulcer gave her a heart infection, her reduced immunity gave her pneumonia and she died. She was 35.
I can’t stand Germany’s Calvinistic approach to medication (same for the Netherlands). Although the US goes too far the other way.
And yes, I could have typed this in German, but it would have taken me half an hour (and I don’t trust Google translate).
Severe depression, stomach ulcers and pneumonia are no simple colds. If you are “really” sick, you can get normal medication in Germany. In addition, many harmless drugs are also available over the counter (ibuprofen, for example). I hate to tell you, but St. Johns Wort is used for actual medication, your friend wasn’t prescribed some ‘herbal tea’ the plant is known to be an incredibly low risk treatment for anxiety and light forms of depression, side effects are very rare, but due to the way it might interact with other types of medication it can only be sold through a pharmacy.
This is in no means an attempt to undermine your experience, but what most likely happened is that your friends doctor was at fault, he should have been aware of any other health risks, or at the very least should have asked before prescribing the medication, and should have stopped the treatment the second symptoms for stomach related illnesses started appearing.
St. John’s Wort can be proper medication for at least moderate depression and anxiety, it depends on the dosage. If it is simple pills from a supplement store, they they wont do anything. If it is a highly concentrated extract that you need a prescription for in Germany, it will work wonders. I know because I take it to combat the anxiety and depression caused by getting medical complications.
St John’s Wort at high extract doseages can ease severe depression without the sides of Citalopram, but it wont make the symptoms disappear completely.
Now it has taken an half hour to translate in german, for me.
