Netflix is cable now. And cable is expensive.

Netflix’s quality peaked years ago. The last few times I’ve gone on, I just seem to scroll and find nothing meaningful. I’d rather head to the open seas or something.

Indeed. I had Netflix for most of the 'teens decade. Every time someone recommended something to me, I’d search and see

      Not available for streaming.

They had some decent original shows, but even then, their shift from “Blockbuster, but streaming” to “a glorified cable channel” was showing.

Over the last couple of years in particular, Netflix has gone from a solid streaming service to a practically unavoidable, virtually uncancellable part of mainstream culture.

Virtually, but in reality I said fuck Netflix and cancelled 2 years ago.

I just came off of hulu live last August and instead went with Peacock so my wife can get some live tv, and Netflix ad supported, which is like $10 a month for both instead of $90. I’m good for now, if they continue to get more expensive I have no ties to at least Netflix so bye bye.

These are my only subscriptions as well, so no cable, no music one, or any other service. I think $10 is a great price to get everything i need.
