Me: “Ah, after years of therapy and mental treatment, I finally don’t yearn for death every day of my life!”

2025: “Congratulations! You’re on the waitlist for an early government-induced death!”

    What timing fate has.

So many good things happening in the world, it’s just that it’s not profitable to make you think about it

Your anger is worth money to certain people, so they deliberately try to make you angry enough to click something

Unless you’re trying to work out how to do something about these things, they shouldn’t occupy your mind

      This is true.

At the same time, it’s also true that a lot of people in a lot of countries are fucked going forward, and that includes many of us posting here.

The good doesn’t cancel out the bad. We have reasons to be gnawing our nails to the bone.

Yeah people in undeveloped and developing countries have some truly horrific shit going on, but my point is that if you’re in the developed world, 90% of the shit you’re worried about is downright lies made up for ragebait and isn’t going to happen

And by that I mean for example, if you’re an LGBT minority in the US just now, you should be extra, extra aware that LGBT-friendly “journalism” is still just trying to get clicks. They interpret laws and actions the way they see fit to generate revenue, and the vast majority are amateurs at best
